A new survey released by Public Policy Polling shows Jindal's approval ratings topping a list of sitting governors who face re-election. Jindal posted a 58 percent approval rating, along with 34 percent disapproving of his job, giving him a +24 spread. Republican Governor Jodi Rell of Connecticut matched the +24 mark, though with lower approval and disapproval percentages (55/31). The only person to post approval ratings higher than Jindal's was Democrat Joe Manchin (70/22, +48), who won the election in West Virginia last month to fill the remaining term of late Sen. Robert Byrd.
