Parc and watch it, buster

by Anna Purdy

Movies in the Parc is back with more family friendly fare this Saturday night, kicking off the 2011 film series.

Get thee to Parc International Saturday night for the kickoff of the 2011 Movies in the Parc series.

Shrek Forever concludes the ripping saga of the lovable green ogre with the Scottish accent and his ladyfriend, Princess Fiona. The price is $2 per person but kids under 5 get in free. Bring blankets and chairs and, for the love of everything, leave your dogs at home. They don't care about the movie as much as they care about not sitting in the heat surrounded by hundreds of loud people under four feet tall, trust me. Concessions will be sold on site.

Gates open at 7 p.m. There is parking on the surrounding streets and in the very nearby parking tower.

Just a heads up that the next two movies will take place in much hotter weather and will be the new Karate Kid and a month after that Justin Beiber: Never Say Never. No kidding. Beiber.
