CLAP YOUR HANDS IF YOU KNOW IT'S REAL
Former Lafayette resident Anthony Daniels (a.k.a. M. Harris) joins Jason Washington and Kerman Cummings for a journey into The Atlanta Chronicles, a hip-hop compilation that emerged amid the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina - and brought together three aspiring artists who found each other in Atlanta after the storm ravaged their homes and recording studios in New Orleans. The album brings a mixture of danceable beats and sagacious rhymes, all part of the trio's mission to spread a message of "balance." The quick wit and fast rap will keep listeners on their toes and out of their seats while exploring the 15 tracks that make up Daniels' second album. "Like Shakespeare and Langston Hughes, I paid my dues." Available for $9.99 online at http://moooseandspy.bandcamp.com/album/the-atlanta-chronicles. - Heather Miller

WHY DIDN'T WE THINK OF THIS?**
Good news, Lafayette: You can get a tattoo and eat a plate lunch while you wait. Hipsters, unite! New neighbor to World of Bodyworks, Cajun-Licious is an ambitious culinary concept. Located at 3920 W. Congress, it is drive-through (and walk in) only. Open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends, its signature breakfast is something called a Boudin Biscuit, which is exactly what it sounds like. Come midday it's plate lunches (if Acadiana doesn't have the patent on that informative moniker it should), burgers, po-boys, alligator bites, hot dogs and lots of other things, plus the "Dessert of the Day." (Monday's dessert is something called Ooey Gooey for which I am unnaturally excited to try.) And there are specialty meats such as stuffed rabbit and stuffed pork chops. But the pièce de résistance is the crawfish-to-go. Call in your order and nab some boiled crawfish without ever leaving your vehicle. It's only from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and during lunchtime on the weekend, but how cool is it to decide at midday you want to have crawfish that night, call it in, then drive through and pick it up? Very cool. Or would you rather snap up a roast on the way home? - Anna Purdy
