With all this International Festival going on, did you forget about Friday being Bach Lunch? We almost did.
Le Grand Baton comes to play for Lafayette three times this weekend: once at noon for Bach Lunch, once on Saturday afternoon and once on Sunday. Ranging from tropical, exotic music to the prog thump of songs like "File," members hail from the Big Apple, the Big Easy and Guadalupe in the Caribbean. As always, it's in Parc San Souci (the one with the fountain).
Lots of great vendors peddling their wares to your stomaches but as always as well, Bach Lunch has its boxed lunch supporters. Look for French Press, Popeye's, Chris' Poboys and others to be offering up the best a few bucks has to offer.
Bring your kids, bring your chairs, bring your lunch from home. Leave the dogs, though. Especially during the wicked pedestrian crunch of Festival International and the heat, for Pete's sake leave your dogs at home in the A/C.
