Major Louisiana news media including Baton Rouge Business Report and The Advocate are reporting that state Superintendent Paul Pastorek will announce his resignation Tuesday. Pastorek could not be reached for comment, and René Greer, Pastorek's director of public affairs, was in a meeting just before noon when we called. An email directly to Pastorek has also gone unanswered.
