Though the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention has yet to issue a warning about it, it appears that Bieber fever is coming to Lafayette. Symptoms include excessive screaming and insisting unicorns are real. The pandemic continues Saturday, June 4 at Movies in the Parc at Parc International.

In downtown Lafayette they have monthly screenings of movies and this Saturday for the bargain price of $2 you can bring your little ones - or hey, your big adult ones, no one's judging here - to see Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. This showing closes the spring season of Movies in the Parc where family friendly movies are shown on a 35' screen. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the movie begins at dusk. While waiting for it to get dark local youth band First & Ten will be perform.

Concessions are sold yet you are free to pack a picnic and bring chairs or blankets. Kids 5 and under get into the event for free. There is street parking in addition to Parc-Auto du Centreville on Polk Street barely a block down.

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never is a documentary about the days counting down to teen singing sensation Bieber's performance at Madison Square Garden, a show that sold out in 22 minutes. The CDC and The Independently Weekly jointly suggest that there may be some people who actually feel comfortable saying never, and if so we support that decision.

The writer of this article independently suggests that while she is not a Bieber fan, despite having aged 20 years and gained tattoos and a love of gin, she would probably still knock you down to get to a now balding Donnie Wahlberg of New Kids on the Block, so she gets it. She also believes in unicorns sometimes, but that might be the gin talking.
