The Associated Press is reporting that our 40-year-old Republican governor has nearly $9 million in his campaign account with fewer than three months remaining before the October election. Jindal's overwhelming wealth advantage could be a deterrent for any deep-pocketed competitors. Only north Louisiana school teacher Tara Hollis, a conservative Democrat, is currently in the race. Hollis, by contrast, recently reported having $953.21 in her campaign account, although she tells the AP she's confident once she rolls out her campaign platform, the contributions will follow.
