Tropical Storm Lee brought Acadiana this blissful weather and several cancellations of events, among the casualties St. Martinville's Creole Zydeco Festival. But this weekend, it's back on.
Sept. 10, St. Martinville's annual celebration of cultural music is held under the pavilion at the Adam Carlson Memorial Park. This year the performers are Zydeco Ray & The Creole Knight Riders, Same Ole' Two Step and Cory & the Hot Peppers, who are replacing Lil Nathan & the Zydeco Big Timers in the line-up.
Creole food will be for sale along with beer, soda and water. There is a petting zoo and a fun jump for kids and they ask that you respectfully leave your ice chests and four-legged creatures at home.
