Crowley based company says new facility will protect supply and manufacturing during natural disasters.
The Wright Group, a nutritional supplement manufacturer based in Crowley, announced Thursday that it has purchased a blending facility in Plain City, Ohio. Wright maintains the new location will enhance supply security and manufacturing flexibility in the event of natural disasters and other adverse events and says it will add several ribbon blender systems, which connect to a fully automated packaging line.
In addition to this new facility, The Wright Group is currently expanding globally, opening offices in Bogota Colombia and a quality and procurement office in Shanghai, China, according to the company release.
More than a half a century ago, The Wright Group began developing innovative rinse resistant grain premixes for the rice industry - and has been expanding its services and developing breakthroughs in enrichment and fortification ever since. The company now supplies custom nutrient premixes, rice and grain enrichments and microencapsulation/granulations to a diverse group of clients.
