The second annual Acadiana Wine & Food Festival is the last weekend in October.

Taking place at University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Paul & Lulu Hillard Museum of Art, a whole host of activities bent on celebrating and educating about wine and food as well as highlighting some of our local culinary talent runs from Oct. 28-29.

On that Friday the six-course Joie du Vin Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. with the champagne reception an hour before. Each course is paired with a different wine that enhances the dish.

The next day at 1 p.m. is the Food & Wine Presentation. Each class is $25 or it is $100 for all five.

1 p.m. Artisanal Cheese and Wine

2 p.m. Spanish Wines & Tapas

3 p.m. Gulf Coast Seafood & French Whites

4 p.m. The Right Glass for the Perfect Wine

5 p.m. The Cocktail Hour

Chefs Justin Girouard, Holly Goeting, Kyle Waters, Colt Patin, Cory Bahr, Patrick Poupart and Pat Mould will be on hand. For a detailed description of the classes to go the official Acadiana Wine & Food website. To see ticket prices and to order, go here. A Connoisseur Pass is available.
