Correction: Acadiana Wine and Food Festival not a free event

by Heather Miller

Friday's Joie Du Vin dinner is sold out, but head to the Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum at 6 p.m. Saturday for the Grand Tasting of the finest food [and wine] Acadiana has to offer.'

The Independent's Colossus Cal, both online and in last week's print edition, inaccurately stated that the Acadiana Wine and Food Festival this weekend at the University Art Museum is a free event.

Friday's $125 a person seated Joie Du Vin dinner is sold out, but the fun continues from 6 - 9:30 p.m. Saturday with the Grand Tasting, where patrons can "stroll the grounds while dining on the finest food Acadiana has to offer and sipping world class wines. View art from premier artists of the region and enjoy live entertainment."

General entry into Saturday's tasting is $65 and includes a festival wine glass and come-and-go wrist bands. For $85, attendees can enjoy VIP status that includes an exclusive 5 p.m. cocktail hour with Lafayette's favorite bartender, Luke Tullos, and a swag bag.

The Ind sincerely regrets the error.
