Hunter Hayes in concert Tuesday in Crowley

by Wynce Nolley

Country music wunderkind Hunter Hayes plays Crowley's Rice Theater tonight at 8 p.m.

Breaux Bridge native Hunter Hayes has been gathering a lot of notoriety in the country music arena this year with a diligent list of accomplishments: the debut of his self-titled album early last month, touring with Taylor Swift, his network television appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, performing at the legendary Grand Ole Opry, and a headlining tour that makes a special stop in Crowley tonight before continuing on to Nashville tomorrow.

At age 20, Hayes is already a musical veteran. After leaving Breaux Bridge in 2008 to further his musical career in Nashiville, he had the opportunity to co-write Rascal Flatts' song "Play" for its album Nothing Like This in 2010 and was then signed to Atlantic Records.

Hunter Hayes plays for one night only at 8 p.m. at Crowley's Historic Rice Theater. You can click here for tickets and you can find out more about Hayes and his budding career by visiting his website here.
