Robideaux endorses Naquin

State Rep. Joel Robideaux, R-Lafayette, has endorsed City-Parish Council candidate Andy Naquin in Saturday's runoff against fellow Republican Jared Doise for the City-Parish Council District 6 seat.

Robideaux has confirmed the endorsement, which was announced on Naquin's campaign website, saying in the announcement, "I am proud to endorse Andy Naquin to serve as my city-parish councilman. Andy is the fair-minded, thoughtful and fiscally conservative leader we need on the council. I look forward to working closely with Andy for the next four years."

A resident of CPC District 6, Robideaux was elected speaker pro tem of the state House of Representatives last year. He was elected to a third term in the House on Oct. 22.
