Louisiana State University is trying to crack down on entrepreneurs who are cashing in on LSU cornerback and Heisman Award hopeful Tyrann Mathieu's nickname.

Louisiana State University is trying to crack down on entrepreneurs who are cashing in on LSU cornerback and Heisman Award hopeful Tyrann Mathieu's nickname. According to Baton Rouge Business Report, the university's compliance office has sent cease-and-desist letters to several merchants who have been selling "Honey Badger" T-shirts, claiming the moniker is widely associated with the celebrated football player and consequently an infringement of the LSU brand, throwing in the head-scratcher that said merchandise "could have a negative impact on the involved student-athlete's eligibility."
