The Wild Salmon, a family atmosphere type of dive if one can exist, is prone to beer pong, great music, pool games and a large man named Hefe ordering rounds of whiskey. On Dec. 22 local musicians Legg and Riggs are bringing Santa to you by putting on a show.
Legg just came off a solo European tour. His bombastic tales of swampland heartaches, headaches and headlights come through in his signature Delta heavy metal blues style. Legg is also a lifelong Acadiana resident and writer and is the former frontman of Santeria and Black Bayou Construkt.
Riggs is the former frontman for Acid Bath and Deadboy & the Elephantmen, both known for their gothic metal sound and great lyrics. Since disbanding Deadboy about five years ago Riggs has gone solo. His last album, Say Goodnight to the World, came out last year on the Fat Possum Records label.
The Wild Salmon is located at 813 Foreman Dr. Cover is $10 with doors opening at 7 p.m.
