LHC Group among world's fastest growing companies

Online global business news source ranks Lafayette-based home health provider No. 468 on its list of the 1,000 fastest-growing public companies in the world.

A national provider of home health and hospice services, LHC Group was named one of the world's fastest-growing companies by the International Business Times.

LHC Group comes in at No. 468 on the inaugural IBT1000, which ranks all public companies based on average revenue growth over the past three years, and is one of 176 U.S. companies included in the list. Other U.S. businesses featured among the 1,000 fastest-growing companies were notables like Apple Inc., Pfizer Inc. and PepsiCo Inc. The listing was compiled by the International Business Times, an online global business news source comprised of 18 editions published in 10 languages.

From 2008 to 2011, LHC Group's revenue grew more than 22 percent, increasing from $353 million to $647 million.

For LHC Group, the IBT1000 global ranking is the latest in a series of honors. In 2011, the company was named one of "America's 100 Best Small Companies" by Forbes magazine for the fifth consecutive year. And Fortune magazine in 2011 recognized the Lafayette health care entity as one of the nation's "100 Fastest-Growing Companies" for the second consecutive year.
