Los Angeles-based L'Enfant Terrible Theater Company brings the Bard's tale of the Danish prince gone wrong to the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Hamlet, Prince of Puddles.

L'Enfant Terrible decodes what can be a trying tale for kids to understand by using clever stage tricks, colorful costumes and even puppetry. Hamlet is the story of a royal family in Denmark whose king is murdered by his brother, and the son who seeks revenge after his murderous uncle seduces and marries the queen, Hamlet's mother, in order to control the kingdom. This play is subject to some of the first metaphysical themes - in order to get his uncle to confess to his father's murder Hamlet stages a play about a king's murder; in other words a play within a play is at play.

Members of L'Enfant Terrible have worked in Lafayette before in conjunction with our native Acting Up! (in Acadiana) theater company.
