Dozens of local musicians come together to raise money for the Autism Society of Acadiana on March 31 at 3 p.m. and going until Artmosphere closes. This yearly event is called Rock for Hope.
Artmosphere is located on the corner of Johnston and Convent in downtown Lafayette. Rock for Hope caps off a family fun day dedicated to those with autism spectrum disorder and their family and friends. The ASAC 2012 Walk for Hope is hosted by our local Autism Society of Acadiana and aims to raise awareness and education of the condition as well as connecting people.
The lineup is as follows with the starting and ending times for bands to not be held steadfast:
3 p.m. - The Gretas (from Lake Charles)
4 p.m. - Brett Vidrine
5 p.m. - Brannon McLeod
6 p.m. - The Wooden Wings (from New Orleans)
7 p.m. - Prytania (from New Orleans)
8 p.m. - Nobody Panic
9 pm - Don Puebla & the Shawls (from Houma)
10 p.m. - Brother Dege
11 p.m. - Not a Death Ray
Midnight - White Light Cemetery
This event is child-friendly. The cost of entry is only $8 with further donations being accepted. All money raised goes toward the Autism Society of Acadiana.
